She spent the beginning of her career as the Head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychiatry at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she focused on building a thriving and highly collaborative CL service which provides psychiatric care for patients in the surgical and medical wards, including the oncology and palliative care units. She also was awarded a Facilities Engagement grant to create guidelines for management of vulnerable patients in hospitals.
She is also the provincial practice Director for Psychiatry within BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the past president of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty participant in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an interest for a long time in musculoskeletal research and education. She is currently teaching Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects in musculoskeletal education electrodiagnostic medicine, as well as performing arts medicine.
